One-off Grant Funding Opportunity to support schemes which help children and young people across Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire - 24/04/2020
A one-off funding opportunity has arisen to utilise the remaining funds in the former Area Partnership. The City and South Cambs Area Partnership residual fund will fund projects that can support young people in Cambridge City and South Cambs to address issues important to them, can better develop their understanding and education around risk taking and staying safe and can contribute positively to the development of their emotional health and well‐being.
There will be one application round intended to allocate the £44k available.
Successful applicants will have established relationships with young people in City and/or South Cambs and will be running projects which build resilience in young people and their communities and that help to keep them safe and enables them to thrive.
We are specifically looking for projects which address/achieve the following outcomes:
- Help young people and their communities to develop their own initiatives and by doing so contribute to their own resilience and well‐being and that of their community
- Be inclusive and have a shared benefit to their communities
- Motivate and empower other young people and their community members to take part and by doing so develop social capacity.
- Develop opportunities for children, young people and their families to engage in positive activity which is beneficial to their health and well‐being
Community groups can apply for funding between £5k-20K.
The deadline for applications is 19th June 2020, all applicants will be informed of the panel’s decision in July 2020.
