Organisation: Forever Active Forum

Forever Active Forum Ltd Board Member/Trustee

Forever Active Forum Ltd is a charity-based and community-led organisation based in Cambridgeshire. Our primary mission is to increase the number of over 50s participating in safe and effective exercise and sports sessions. In addition, support is provided to some younger people needing to return to a more active lifestyle.

The Forever Active programme Team is currently trying to re-open its 70+ classes that were on offer pre-Covid. All classes are endorsed by the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough (CPFT) NHS Trust.

Forever Active Forum Ltd (Charity number: 1159692) is governed by its Board of Directors/Trustees, all of whom are volunteers. The Board has quarterly meetings; a small management group meets in the intervening months, while marketing and publicity groups meet on an ad hoc basis.

The Trustees are responsible for controlling the work, management and administration of this charity on behalf of its beneficiaries.

Due to recent changes to the management structure of Forever Active, there are three vacancies for members of the Board of Directors/Trustees.

Forever Active is looking for candidates with a mix of experience and skills who are willing to commit to promoting physical activity to older adults. The Board is particularly interested in candidates who have an extensive local network and excellent communication and/or fundraising, financial management, legal, governance, sports, IT and marketing skills.
