Organisation: Turtle Dove Cambridge

Turtle Dove Cambridge is currently recruiting 2 directors to join our Board of Directors

Turtle Dove Cambridge is a social enterprise that aims to improve the future of young women who are identified as, or are at risk of becoming, "Not in Education, Employment, or Training" (NEET).

We provide opportunities for local young women to build their skills and confidence within the hospitality sector alongside emotional support. These work opportunities include working at a range of events, from private bookings to charity fundraisers, as well as intergenerational events. We work with various local caterers, other social enterprises and have our very own vintage china hire.

Turtle Dove Cambridge also fundraises to enable some of the young women on our team to gain work experience overseas in Brazil with charities that support young women and girls who have been victims of abuse and trafficking.

Please note: Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we are currently operating at reduced capacity. While our main provision is on hold, we are focusing on other initiatives, including: an alternative education programme, the Friends of Turtle Dove Network and passive income streams (e.g. van hire). We plan to re-launch when it is safe to do so.
