Volunteers needed for Cards for Good Causes

Cards for Good Causes is requesting support in staffing their pop-up shops across England.
Cards for Good Causes is the UK's biggest retailer of Charity Christmas Cards - and as a not-for-profit they pass back 100% of their profits to their charities. Their members include Macmillan, Age UK, Alzheimer's, RNLI and Mind but they also sell cards for over 200 smaller local or regional organisations.
All volunteers will receive the necessary PPE, training and support on all aspects of their role. Volunteers in shops will be provided with tea, coffee and biscuits, but will not be able to claim any other subsistence or travel costs, except at the discretion of their local co-ordinator. Cards for Good Causes understands that other volunteer packages may be more generous, however they hope volunteers will understand how important it is for them, as a not-for-profit, to ensure as much money as possible can go back to the charities.
Requirements vary from area to area across the country but volunteer tasks could include:

  • Shop set up: for shops that are still not set up, they would welcome support with unloading boxes and setting up the shop.
  • Shop volunteering: Cards for Good Causes is looking for shop volunteers in a number of locations. Exact time commitment can be flexible but it is always helpful if someone can commit to at least one shift a week (e.g. 10-1 or 1-4 or a full day 10-4) for a period of a few weeks. Tasks will involve operating the till, restocking shelves, ensuring Covid-safe measures in place for customers, supporting customers.
