Virtual Conference on Social and Digital Inclusion
Virtual Conference on Social and Digital Inclusion - 20/10/2020 10:00am
Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm
Venue: Online Conference
A group of local organisations have come together since the pandemic lockdown to work more closely together to help disadvantaged children and adults get and stay online. To develop this collaboration, CHS Group, Cambridge Online, Cambridge Youth Panel and CCVS have formed the Cambridgeshire Digital Partnership to maintain the profile of this issue beyond lockdown and ensure the lessons learned about the impact of digital exclusion are learned from.
To formally launch the partnership, they have arranged a week-long virtual conference to take place during Get Online Week 2020, which includes an incredible line-up of speakers that includes Eben Upton (founder of Raspberry Pi) and the Acting Director of Cambridge University’s Centre for Housing Research, Gemma Burgess, as well as speakers from national Digital Inclusion organisation Good Things Foundation, and local organisations such as Red Hen Project, and the partnership itself.
