Who is it for?
This course will help anyone who is responsible for recruiting or managing volunteers as part of their role either as a staff member or a volunteer.
Those experienced in managing volunteers will get the chance to review their current systems and practices and explore best practice.
Those less experienced will gain the information and confidence they need to develop and start implementing volunteer policies.
What is it about?
You will get to explore what organisations need to have in place to recruit, support, retain and manage their volunteers. You’ll also be given a detailed resource pack.
What will I learn?
· How to develop or update a recruitment strategy
· Gain an understanding of different methods of recruitment
· Best practice in engagement, support and management of volunteers including developing key policies
· Gain an understanding of what motivates volunteers and contributes to retention
The trainer will be a CCVS Trainer and Development Officer with experience of writing successful grant applications and assessing them. Please provide your own lunch and we will provide basic refreshments.

£60 for non-member groups
CCVS members are able to book up to two places on any course. We do hold a waiting list if courses are oversubscribed and may be able to offer additional places if these are available. Let us know if you want to book extra places.

Places on CCVS courses are free for members. But please note that all bookings are subject to the CCVS cancellation policy and we do make a charge if places are cancelled without giving notice as set out in the policy.
