Cambridge City Council Tablet loan project - 31/07/2019
Would you like to help your service users develop their digital skills and confidence?
Would you like to help them save money on utility bills, phone contracts or the weekly shop?
Cambridge City Council support a number of projects offering residents the opportunity to make the most of the internet. From supporting older residents in independent living schemes, to giving children from low income households the chance to learn how to code, we are addressing the digital divide in partnership with local community groups. There is growing evidence that those who lack essential digital skills are most likely to learn from people or organisations who they trust. Matt Nelson, digital inclusion officer, is looking for groups to take part in a pilot project. He has purchased a number of Samsung tablets that can be loaned for up to six months. He can even arrange to link you to a digital champion, or train one of your existing volunteers.
