Networks

Cambridge CVS tries to link groups with similar interests or issues. This enables members to learn from each other, share concerns or interests and spread good practice. Groups may be organised around a theme or geographically. At the moment we are running the following networks. Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Voluntary Sector Infrastructure Consortium - CVSIC
CVSIC was set up in 2004 with money from the Government's Change Up programme. The aim of CVSIC is to improve services and meet the diverse needs of the voluntary sector in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Since 2004 over £1m has been spent on various projects to build networks of specialist organisations, research the needs of voluntary groups, develop social enterprises, improve services for volunteers, trustees and staff of voluntary organisations and develop IT systems for local groups. VoiCeS Project
This project is run by Young Lives in Cambridgeshire and seeks to involve voluntary sector children and young people's groups in the rapidly changing children's agenda. There is a forum that meets approximately every 6 weeks where voluntary sector members raise issues and share good practice. The forum is also used for training and input from the office of Children and Young People's services. Related information may be found on www.younglives.org.uk. To know more, please contact Lenja on
