Funding
Funding is one of the most important and most difficult areas for voluntary and community organisations to deal with. In order to help local groups and make information available to them, Cambridge CVS has a range of services linked to funding.

GrantFINDER
Cambridge CVS can help groups identify possible funding sources often using GrantFINDER. Local community and voluntary groups can find potential funding opportunities, free of charge, through a funding search facility available at Cambridge CVS. To know more click here.
Other Funding Sources
Rag Grants: CCVS administers small grants for money collected by the Student Rag for local organisations which are CCVS members. Closing date for applications is 20 January 2012. Download the application form and guidance document here.
Cambridgeshire Community Foundation holds a variety of local funds which may provide small grants to voluntary groups. Most grants are in the order of a few hundred pounds. For details contact Cambridgeshire Community Foundation
Local authorities have funds for voluntary groups which may be found on their websites
Fundraising Advice
Cambridge CVS can give advice on how to write a good bid and on monitoring and reporting back once funds have been secured. Full cost recovery and other aspects of money management are also popular topics with groups and feature regularly in the CCVS training events.
