Organisation: Cambridgeshire Deaf Association
Make a difference to the futures for deaf people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Cambridgeshire Deaf Association is a local, forward-thinking charity focused on innovative services that improve the well–being of local deaf people. We’re led by our membership which is made up of local deaf people, their families or people who work with in the field.
We’ve grown to meet demand in the last few years, with referrals to our services trebling in a year. We now employ over 30 staff and have a growing group of volunteers delivering services from 7am to 10pm every day of the year. Our services are funded a variety of different ways including income from business activity.
With this growth comes new financial challenges and we’re looking for a treasurer to lead our financial planning towards a sustainable future.
Our board meets once a quarter on the third Wednesday in February, May, August and November in Cambridge. We also have an AGM in September (taking place on a Saturday).
The treasurer will mainly work with our Finance and HR Manager, and Managing Director, providing strategic guidance, feedback and recommendations on our financial reports. Please see the role profile for more information and the guidance from the Charity Commission on the role of a charity Trustee. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-essential-trustee-what-you-need-to-know-cc3
If you think this could be the role for you – we would love to hear from you.
