Come along to hear from Karl Wilding the Director of Policy and Volunteering at NCVO on what future trends you need to be aware of. Also hear about how CCVS is looking to grow and adapt to be able to continue to provide you with the serices you want.

Karl will highlight some of the things that will impact on the future of voluntary groups and the wider sector. This will be drawn from the research that NCVO undertakes on the state of the sector and what the environment we operate in is doing.

Juliet Snell, Taproot

Juliet carried out some research and developed a report to advise the trustees of CCVS and Hunts Forum about merger. She will look at the findings and there will be an opportunity to contribute to the continued way forward.

Speakers

Karl Wilding, Director of Public Policy and Volunteering NCVO

Karl leads NCVO's volunteering and public policy work. He speaks and writes widely on issues facing the voluntary sector, including public trust, the role of modern charity, and the future of giving and social action. He is an advisor to Charity Bank, a trustee of US voluntary organisation Creating the Future, and a trustee of St Albans Centre for Voluntary Service.

Juliet Snell

Juliet founded the Cambridge based consultancy Taprootl in 2016. Juliet is a trained facilitator and trainer and has spent over 25 years working in the charitable sector, the NHS and for local authorities. She has first-hand experience of leading organisations through change, mentoring and coaching senior staff, supporting trustees, and evaluating and developing services. She is passionate about building the ability of teams to creatively and meaningfully listen to their communities.

The commitment is a few day time meetings a year (generally every other month) held at the CCVS offices in Cambridge. We can pay full expences and are keen to build the skills and diversity of the board.
